WTF Spirit? with Jacob Sams - Drag and Spirituality!

In this episode of WTF Spirit? I sat down with Jacob Sams who is currently Miss Gay Dayton and will be turning over the reigns to the new Miss Gay Dayton on August 12th. 
 
Jacob has been in the Dayton, Ohio Area for most of his life! He is a hairdresser at Square One Salon (book with him here) and a RubiGirl! (He is the mastermind behind my hairstyle!) He started down a spiritual path at birth, having been brought up in the church with his Mamaw. Although he no longer identifies with that religion any longer he would never discredit what lead him to spirit for the first time. He has studied a WIDE variety of topics to cultivate his own way of doing things.
 
Jacob and I discussed how he views his Drag appearances as part of his spirituality in being able to own who he is as a person and step onto the stage showing others you, too, can be yourself even amongst the doubters. 
 
I am honored and blessed to call him friend and co-student in the Oracular Apprenticeship course with Julian Crosson-Hill at Temple of the Rebel Goddess.

WTF Spirit? - Autism Advocate Christian Armstrong

In this episode of WTF Spirit?, I was blessed with an opportunity to speak with Christian Armstrong who is a Speaker | Storyteller | Autism Advocate who has fought to overcome the stigma around autism. He is an inspiration to many, and his story is one of hope and determination. Christian is living proof that anything is possible if you set your mind to it.
We discuss what it is like to be an adult with autism and the hurdles he'd had to cross. He provides a scenario for anyone who doesn't know what it's like to have autism or to know someone with autism so you understand just what it's like to have autism. It will give you a greater understanding of how to be more open to the neuro-divergent humans around you.

WTF Spirit? Card Pulls for audience & Finding Support

In this episode today, Rev. Maria Leggett starts out the episode pulling cards for the audience members who were live on her Facebook page. 
Rev. Maria went on to discuss loving family members and people around the world who may have a different belief system than you. It is imperative that we lead our lives through love rather than hate. Just because someone believes differently than you, doesn't mean you cannot love them and get along with them. It means you need to find a common ground in which to have a relationship with them.
Love should never have gender, sexuality, culture or skin color attached to it. The Infinite Spirit, Universal Source, God or whatever name you want to give to the Creator loves each of us regardless of what we look like, who we love or who we choose to be.
If man was made in this image and we carry the Christ consciousness inside of us, should we reflect that back into the world?

WTF Spirit? - The Perseverance Episode with Michele Lefler

In this episode of WTF Spirit? I spoke with Michele Lefler of Living Moon Meditation about being raised in a Christian household, converting to Judaism and finding Spirituality through it all.
Michele Lefler is a meditation teacher, spiritual guide, shamanic energy coach, and the driving force behind Living Moon Meditation. With a passion for blending ancient wisdom and modern techniques, Michele offers a holistic approach to well-being and self-discovery. This episode was very much about perseverance and never giving up. Despite Michele waking up with no internet, she drove to a park to have this interview where reception was spotty and I filled in. Truly a WTF Spirit? moment! We both agreed... it's all about perseverance.
